Hung Over

Hey y'all!

Now I don't even need to ask the question "Have you ever been Hung Over?" do i...Nope I dint think so.

Those of you who have been hung over will know, that sometimes when you are out 'on the lash/'avin it/muggin' the bar' sometimes its better to avoid the hang over by.....yep, to keep on drinking!

Yet we all know that sometimes when the hang over kicks in, and you say the good 'ol famous saying "I'm never drinking again!" we all know you really mean "same time next week yeh?"

Well I'm here to tell ya, I've done it many many times, I'm not proud of it (maybe a little proud) BUT as they say, you song write on what you know, so i came up with 'Hung Over'.

Taken from my album #ComicBookVillain is one of my favourite tracks, because of its different club vibe and pop/rap-ish vocals! Hope you enjoy!

My brand new music video for my new single is all ready for everybody to see! It has been a few months since my last video, and believe me I am already in planning mode for the next one so keep your eye out for more!

Exciting Stuff

Hellllloooooooooooooo Everybody!

Well, All i can say really is one hell of a lot has happened since my last post! Yes my showcase was completed and over (thank god) as much as i loved doing it, preparing the show was a damn nightmare!

Firstly I did a gig last week, i opened at a charity Showcase, it was put together by some lovely people and i really enjoyed it. It was interesting because i performed newly mixed songs from my album and a couple have swear words in there, and when i got off stage i saw a priest and a nun in the audience, but hey ho, it was all good! I performed my single #Wasted as well as my new single and an album track, it seemed to go down well and I came off sweating so all good!

Also the album, THE ALBUM! The album has been mixed, mastered, sprinkled with fairy dust, whatever you wanna call it, and all i can say is it is bloody fantastic! I have fallen in love with the album all over again like a new lover! There are some really great stand out tracks, some pure pop gold and electro madness so I'm really happy with it!

My new single has been chosen from the album, I'm not going to reveal the title or play you any clips just yet, because i really want to wait until the video, the video is beginning ideas now so it really shouldn't take too long, and its going to be an energetic video i can tell you that!

Last but not least (and nothing to do with music) but last week i got back from Gran Canaria for my holidays, and i can tell you I needed it after that damn showcase! It was meant to be a relaxing chilled holiday, bit of reading, bit of ipod listening, writing some new songs, tanning, sleeping, BUT NO did i do any of that? NOPE! all i saw was the night time, bars, clubs, dance floors, and it was hilarious and so much fun! So much fun that I'm going back in September! Whoop whoop!

When i get news or a picture or something from the new video ill post it to give you a taste of what will be coming ;)

Bradley Say Album Showcase

Well, well, well! Its the night after my album showcase, and do you know what i feel the most? Relief. Relief that i get a day off today from rehearsing, performing, practising, organising, preparing, and just stress. So happy to just chill, sit and watch Rio the film I've had sitting in front of me for days with no time to watch!

Well I'm not gonna write pages and pages about last night, just wanted to say WHAT A PANIC we had right before the show. Sound man: Yeh, mate, you cant use a wireless mic it ain't working properly in here. Me: But i have dance moves, i cant not use a wireless mic. Anyway thanks to moi, it all got figured out and it worked out A-okay!

There was a diva delay of 30 minutes thanks to people turning up late, but all went smoothly from there! Started with the dancers doing #HungOver then moving swiftly on #RingLeader then onto #Wasted.

Came back 10 minutes later with a small yet amazing acoustic set with #NotGoodEnough & #KilledYourEgo having such a great reception, and my dad was the guitarist for the night, keeping it in the family.

The last section was #YouCantKeepUp & #Murderer mixed together with a great urban routine with the dancers. The moved swiftly on to #SayWhat? with the last track being a cover of #SexyChick!

I really enjoyed myself and it was a great success, and a great turnout which means a great donation to the Rainbow Trust Foundation!

So thank you to everybody who came and made it a success!

'Hello Birmingham!'

Hey Everyone,

Hope everyone is well and busy bees!

I know i have been, a busy 'B' indeed. I wanted to write about my gig i did in Birmingham at the weekend, i wouldn't normally blog about every gig that i do, but this was a different one, and one that i feel the need to write about because it was my first outside, massive stage and massive crowd gig!

I went alone, which was a good thing i think really, i felt very independent, and all kinds of grown up...'out there doing it on my own' type of feeling and i now know that i can get through such stress alone. I spent a lot of the day killing time to be honest. In true Bradley fashion i got there many hours early, always a 'must get there early just in case' type of persona.

I pretty much stood like a joner watching the other acts really for hours (secretly checking out the competition haha) and an hour before i was due to be on stage i went back behind stage with my little AAA (access all area) pass that i wore proudly round my neck which also said 'Artist' on it, its here hanging in my room. I sorted myself out, meaning make up, hair, got dressed while being bogged at by other artists who i could tell were giving me the 'is he here on his own, wonder what hes like' look. But carried on getting ready anyway. I then heard my name being called out by two young guys, i was like who are these dudes, and why do they know my name. They said they were from BBC Radio Birmingham, i was like 'yes?' and they held these little postcards, and they said they are going to be introducing me onto the stage and i am their first act to introduce, they had on their postcard little facts about me that they had researched earlier. i.e. 'He has the coolest tattoos, he likes to get 'Wasted' and hes a very good looking guy' and then they asked where am i from, i stupidly said 'Essex' and then they went mad with 'The Only Way Is Essex' introduction jokes. *i rolled my eyes, they saw me roll my eyes*.

So when it came time for my slot i got told they were running behind and had to wait like, forever! But eventually after a while it was my time to perform, I'm not gonna lie to you, i was nervous, i always get nervous, and i am very glad i get nervous. If i didn't get nervous i no i don't enjoy it anymore, but after the waiting and my mind telling 'why the hell do you do this to yourself' it came time for me to perform.

I waited off stage while the act before me finished, then on went the BBC guys giving their 'Essex' impersonations etc, then on i came, and I cant tell you how good it was to see around 600 people in a crowd cheering after you had been introduced, and I cannot put into words how good it was to say "HELLO BIRMINGHAM!", the performance was a rush it really was. I performed my single 'Wasted' first with a 'You gonna get wasted with me Birmingham' to begin with, they seemed to enjoy and i saw lots of people dancing in the crowd! I then went on to perform a track from my album, the song was called 'Buster' and had a great little chat to introduce the track. After i finished performing 'Buster' the two BBC guys came on stage and said 'Give it up for Bradley' and i was like 'Oi! I ain't don't yet! I have another song!' as i chased them off stage!

The last song i performed was a cover track that i knew they would love, and I knew they would know, and it was 'Sexy Chick!'. I'm not foolish, i know to save the winning song until last! They loved it, they sang along, they screamed as i said 'Birmingham are you sexy?'. I thanked them and i left the stage.

But that's not all, as i left the stage, and i mean as soon as i left the stage i heard 'BRADLEY!' I looked and it was a group of people, i pointed at myself 'Me?' they said 'BRADLEY!' so i went over and then i saw they were all holding out autograph books and nice pens which i kinda wanted to take! So i signed, i felt like a rock star and also a little embarrassed because I'm not a rock star, i felt silly performing when at the moment I'm a nobody! But what the hell, i lived it up and i signed all ten of them!

So that was it really, i went home and was buzzing BUT unbelievable tired!

Comic Book Villain

This week has been a defining week, it really has. Its been a roller coaster I'll have you know. Firstly my ticket sales have hit the roof for my showcase...

I purposely picked a small venue that would be limited attendees because basically i did not think many people would want to come, i really didn't. Well, i was completely wrong, it has now got to the point where i am SOLD OUT and now having to have a reserve list and sadly refusing tickets. I wish i didn't have to but if i sell anymore there's gonna be a health and safety issue!

Anyway that was the first amazing thing to happen this week. But also, my video, i know I'm not about to break the record for most views of a video (clearly) but over 600 views this week, its the most Ive had so I'm ecstatic!

But most of all my album cover has been modified (aka changed completely) and looks AH-MAZ-ING! i designed myself, edited myself as i always do (I'm a control freak) and although it wont be shown for a while yet, i can reveal the brand new title. Its a big change for me because Ive been working towards this album that i was determined to call "Seeing Red" and it has been called "Seeing Red" for years, but for some reason when we changed the album track listing, the sound etc the new title just seemed to fit, it works and its amazing.

But without further babble, the album will now be called "COMIC BOOK VILLAIN"!

But my live gigs are just becoming more and more, I don't even know how its happening but its happening and I ain't complaining that's for sure. And with all the preparations for the showcase I already have the songs prepared so voila! Smart boy!

Birmingham Pride 2011

Its been another good week, it really has! First my tickets are selling like hot cakes and am gonna slap a 'SOLD OUT' sticker on the poster, then i have some other special news (that I'm not allowed to say just yet) and then i get confirmed to perform for 2011 Birmingham Pride! Brilliant!

Ive never performed at a pride event before, but i know its going to be amazing fun! Gonna drag a friend or two along for the day, and gonna tear the place down with an amazing performance!

What Goes Into A Showcase...

Now with my showcase creeping up (literally just over a month away) panicking sets in, the nightmares starting and getting worse, 24/7 thoughts and preparations....with all this said i wanted to give everybody a little insight of the WORK that goes into an hour of showcase.

I'm gonna take you all right back to the beginning, because in theory this showcase has taken me 3 years to get to. Its been 3 years since i started working on this album (actually a lot more) from the creative writing sessions with me, myself & I to the studio bookings, the start of the social networking to create a buzz. But i wont go into details about the years of work behind the showcase.

So once i got the album down and prepared closed off, I re-opened and completely changed the entire track listing, album name, the look and ideas behind the album, the vision, the direction. This only creates more work for which the entire showcase changes.

Venue

There can be no showcase without a venue, the venue is the core of the showcase, and even this takes a lot of thought. The research into venues, the area in which you want the venue, the size of the venue, the placing of the stage within the venue, the price oh hire, the capacity...it all has to be considered. And even though this was one of the biggest challenges for me, once this is down and found and date settled you have lift off and everything else can go full steam ahead!

Getting The Word Out and Selling

Now booking the venue and setting the date isn't all you need of course, people need to know about the showcase and I built this up to be my nightmare and now with the stage i am at it has become the easiest part of the showcase preparations! I had my head in the thought that no one is going to want to come to my showcase, why would they? But under pressure i got everybody behind it, created a buzz around it, and now my showcase is almost sold out....YES SOLD OUT!

Behind The Showcase

A lot of people have said to me "Its easy, you just pick songs and sing them" now i would love it if it was that easy, believe me, its not! Yes i have the songs prepared and i have an album but that's not all you need. You need to consider everything, who is it that is going to be coming to the showcase, what kind of things would they want to hear, how am i going to keep them interested with every song, does the song flow from each song to the next, how to open the show, how to end the show, intervals, themes....the list goes on. Its got down to the detail of, when i finish performing and I'm going to talk in between should i have low volume music in the background...really the thoughts just go wild!

People Involved

As much as i would love to be the one person i had to rely on it cant work like that. If its just me that's great, cause i know I'm going to turn up to rehearsal and i know I'm going to turn up to the show, but there's others involved. Firstly, guests, you need them to turn up, and its got to the silly question of "is there going to be a train/tube strike on the night that will stop people from coming!". But there is the guitarist to the acoustic section, there's the dancers, there's the sound engineer, there's the people i have asked to help on the night. It takes WORK to get everyone involved let alone keep them involved to turn up!

Visuals

Now i noticed when i went to the venue i chose there were screens on the walls of the stage...now luckily enough i had just released my new music video for "Wasted" and of course there was no thought process, I'm just gonna loop the video. Ta-da! Luckily also the venue is in very good condition and not a lot of stage design is needed, just a few posters!

But the Visual isn't all about the stage and what it looks like, its also about what the hell I'm going to look like, what am i going to wear and more than that, what are the dancers going to wear to not clash with what I'm going to wear!

I began with designing the kind of things i would have liked to wear at my showcase. Basically I was a little bored one day and got designing.

Of course you never find exactly what you want but had to deal with it! But once you have gone out and got tons and tons of stuff, whittling it down to what you are ACTUALLY going to wear....not good!

But after all that babble, do you know what the really problem is that Ive come to face after all this panic? I actually may have too many people interested in coming....may have to do more than one showcase :-\ then ill have to go through it all over again!

My First Newspaper Article

I know, 2 posts in one day, its madness! But its for good reason because I've had yet another break through! I have been featured in an Essex local paper called 'Romford Recorder', i am so chuffed it is unreal, and its such a nice write up about my showcase and also announcing the brand new ALBUM TITLE!

So if you have read you will have seen that the new album title is in fact #COMIC BOOK VILLAIN.

Its a bit different to what was going to be 'Seeing Red' but i am so happy with the new title, i think it really does sum up the new album with brand new tracks. And with the brand new image, logo etc the title really does fit!

And now with this article i really do feel like I'm on my way! So keep your eyes peeled!

Hey Everybody!
Recently I know i have been absent and muted, but it was for a really good reason. Basically BRADLEY SAY has been relaunched, with a new track, new image, new music video, new logo, new album title (yet to be announced) and a brand new track list, brand new people behind the scenes, and lots of amazing feedback!

But first before everything else that is coming, here is my brand new music video, it has been on my YouTube for the past 2 weeks and already have over 350 views, so thank you to everyone who has already viewed, watched and loved the video! I'm really glad that everyone is loving the video as much as i do.

It was so ridiculous how much fun we had filming this video, it was so smooth and fun! The girl/stalker in the video is my really good friend Naz who did a great job so thank you to Naz as well!

Bradley Say - Seeing Red (Album Cover, Showcase, News)

Oh my lord its been so long since i posted on this blog, i was searching my own name on google (as you do) and this is one of the first things you get come up, so i thought *ding* i should use it!

Anyways I'm gonna fill you in really quickly on what the hell is going on, or at least whats happening lately.

Okay first with the utmost exciting, my album cover is complete, approved, finalised and i must say is very bad ass! here it is;

Amazing no? I am really really happy with it, so happy its done!

Secondly, and really really exciting, my entire album "Seeing Red" got an a amazing review over in Australia! Yes i know its amazing isn't it, i am so happy, bloggers are really under appreciated in the music business, they know pop more than most so I'm so happy to have bloggers promoting and supporting me! Another major things that is going on is my album showcase that I'm organising, I'm really really excited for this. And when i say excited i mean nervous as hell, but it is a long way off yet (unfortunately) had a bit of a set back when i got ill, and now further set back just because of the time of year, not best to do a showcase during the holiday season (it is Christmas soon and all) i do want some people to turn up! But i do have some great stuff planned for the showcase and I'm really excited for it no matter how nervous i get. Ill keep everybody posted when the showcase is going to happen in the new year!

Also it doesn't stop there, although i closed the album off and "Seeing Red" is officially completed and the track listing wont change, i haven't stopped going to the studio, and i have some AMAZING tracks recorded already for the next. Like really the songs are such an improvement and a step in the right direction to the sound I'm trying to create, and not only trying, its actually happening, my sound is really coming along! I'm writing all the time and getting lots of feedback, positive feedback so its all good in the hood (cant believe i just wrote that :-\, good in the hood haha)

"SEEING RED" The Album!

Yep its true, my album "SEEING RED" is finally coming!

I have finally decided after a long time that the album is complete, i kept recording and recording, but i feel as if the album is complete and will be coming to itunes very very soon.

The album begins with a very Electro feel, fast paced and futuristic, and then goes into a melodic Electro sound before going straight in to the Urban section of the album, club anthems and credibility, before going into the Pop section with a twist part of the album, with reggae/ska dashes and garage tinges, and also tongue in cheek lyrics.

I'm really happy with how the album sounds, and i am really happy with the finished product! and when released i hope you all enjoy too!

So please please support me and buy, you don't have to buy the full album if you don't want to, most tracks will be available to purchase separately! :-)

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! and welcome to 2010. Oooh it seems weird writing 2010.

Little End Of Year Update

Hey Guys,

Considering this may be the last blog i do in 2009, i thought id pack in eveything!

Okay so ill start with whats happened so far this year, i began this year with a pop album with some reggae and garage influences, and now im ending the year with "SEEING RED" A POP/ELECTRO/CLUB/REGGAE/GARAGE/ROCK masterpiece!

I am so happy with they way the album has come together, and i really think that people will love it, its just getting the hard part THE LABEL! which comes to the next part i signed a management deal this year with IconicArtistManagement, whoi also shot my first music video for "SAY WHAT?" the next single after "WASTED".

So with the release of "SAY WHAT?" the video coming up and the digital release of the track, its looking exciting! Now im preparing my acoustic tour for next year, myself and my guitarist brother and dad are completely making over tracks from the album, so that we can perform them next year! and then i will start pitching the album to labels and hopefully i will go from there!

So keep your eyes peeled, because im not done with recording just yet, im also looking to produce some tracks for some other artists!

Its been so busy lately trying to get my album finished, it nearly is (ive said for the last year) but this time i mean it, its nearly done!

Ive even started to circulate E.P's for feedback on the album, and so far so good!

And also i am filming the video for my the next digital release next week, the new single is "Say What?" and the video is gonna be cool, its gonna be a while until you will be able to see it after its filmed but its gonna be good, ill make sure of it!

Bradley's brand new single will be coming very soon at the end of the summer! Bradley already has success with his debut single "Wasted" and will be following it up with the 2nd track from his debut album titled "Seeing Red". The single is yet to be revealed but will be soon over at his myspace (www.myspace.com/bradleysaymusic).

Basically over the past months i have been recording and writing, recording and writing!!! and earlier this year i released my first download single "Wasted" (which is available in Europe, and in the U.S. soon!) and later this year i will be releasing my second download single (which i havent announced yet) and then i will be releasing my album soon after.

Im really excited about the album, it brings a pop/edge sound, with alot of different influences thrown in, and ive tried really hard to make it grea and something that i would love, and i do!

So heres a little tast of what the tracklisting looks like so far;
